The Alagnak Wild River Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project is part of the NPS Vegetation Mapping Inventory Program (VMI).This Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project is complete. The NPS Vegetation Mapping Inventory Program uses the National Vegetation Classification Standard (NVCS), a classification system well integrated with the major scientific efforts in the taxonomic classification of vegetation. The classification system is a Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) standard for the physiognomic levels (coarser detail).The map class themes represent NVCS natural/semi-natural vegetation communities.The map will be produced in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) zone 8, NAD83 datum and a minimum mapping unit of 1 arce.
