Recent trends in the acid-base status of surface water in Maine, USA

Kahl JS, Haines TA, Norton SA, Davis RB. 1993. Recent trends in the acid-base status of surface water in Maine, USA. Water, Air, & Soil Pollution. 67:281-300

1982-1989 lake chemistry data is analyzed for changes in Acid Neutralizing Capacity (ANC) and sum of base cations. Acadia National Park lakes showed a slight increase in ANC, and a decrease in the sum of base cations.
