Describes the ecology of snowshoe hares on Mount Desert Island. 'In 1931, 900 Snowshoe Hares were taken from an area near Seawall and transported live to Pennsylvania trappers. This note, recorded in the Journal of Mammalogy, may make one wonder if hares are still plentiful, and if they are, where they can be spotted most easily.
