FIELD WORK: May 1950. BIRDS: A Barred Owl nest was found on Pemetic Mountain containing 3 young. Notes that a Great Horned Owl used a Bald Eagle's nest for roosting in Town Hill; a Long-eared Owl was shot on Great Cranberry Island; and Snowy Owls were observed at Great Duck Island, Southwest Harbor dump, and at Seawall /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Pemetic Mountain/Seawall/ISLANDS/Great Cranberry Island GIS-CATEGORY 2A ; Birds: Contains owl and Bald Eagle nesting locations
