REPTILES: A Leatherback Turtle, identified by a picture in the newspaper, was found by a fisherman off Isle au Haut during August, 1937. Also a large turtle (possibly a Leatherback) was collected from Frenchman Bay in August 1951. The Leatherback is federally and state listed as endangered /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLE AU HAUT/ISLANDS/Frenchman Bay
