Studies the influence of ozone, mist chemistry, rain chemistry, and soil type on CO2 assimilation and growth of red spruce seedlings. Collected soil from Acadia National Park and grew spruce seedlings in it which received various ozone exposures and precipitation treatments. Soil constituents measured include phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, manganese, iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, cadmium, nickel, and chromium.
