BIRDS: Lists some but not all nest locations where raptors were banded. Nesting observations include: 1939: Bald Eagle nest on Swans Island (with eggs). 1944: Bald Eagle nest on Enoch Mountain. Osprey nest near Somes Sound. 1948: Goshawk nest on Mount Desert Island. 1949: Bald Eagle nest near Southwest Harbor. 1950: Osprey nest on Greenings Island (4 young). Goshawk nest on Mount Desert Island. Bald Eagle nest on Mount Desert Island (2 young). 1954: Osprey nest at Seawall and at Sink Hole Pond (near Bar Harbor) /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Enoch Mountain/Seawall/Sink Hole Pond/ISLANDS/Swans Island/Greening Island GIS-CATEGORY 3 ; Birds: Gives nest locations for a few raptors
