FIELD WORK: May - November 1984 and 1985. Discusses results of cloud water analysis at 10 non-urban sites in New England, including Bar Harbor. Presents range and distribution of sulfate and nitrate concentrations, a histogram of hydrogen ion concentrations, and notes that overall cloudwater in the eastern U.S. was more acidic and had higher concentrations of NO3 and SO4 than at sample sites in the western U.S., and Puerto Rico. Maine had the highest concentration of SO4 and NO3. The lowest pH for cloud water was collected from Bar Harbor /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Bar Harbor
