Results of research on the level of algal growth in Bass Harbor Marsh which is partially within Acadia National Park. 'The objective of this study was to determine dominance in primary production of a marsh-estuarine system receiving low levels of nitrogen enrichment.' Measured biomass, areal coverage, and oxygen production of Ruppia maritima (a green algae) and phytoplankton from early April to late November, 1995. The results section of the report is broken down into 'Macrophyte biomass'; 'Phytoplankton biomass'; 'Primary productivity'; and 'Competitive interactions'.
