'The objectives of the project are to map the coastal and estuarine habitats of Fire Island, Cape Cod, and Acadia National Park, to characterize these habitats with regard to species composition, seasonal trends, and key biotic and abiotic controlling processes, to produce a data management and information transfer network that takes full advantage of multi-agency cooperation, and to demonstrate the exceptional utility of GIS-based spatial data analysis in interpreting and understanding the processes that influence the structure, function, and temporal changes of coastal habitats.' /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ACADIA NATIONAL PARK/
