A total of 1070 references to Acadia National Park's resources were identified and added into a computerized bibliographic database using PROCITE. Almost 900 of these references were reviewed and annotated. For each reference reviewed, they include a summary of report content, type of GIS usable data, detailed study locations, storage location, keywords and other basic bibliographic information. The report summarizes historical research (separately for Mount Desert Island, Isle au Haut, Schoodic Peninsula, and other Park Islands), identifies rare taxa and GIS usable data, and prioritizes recommendations for future work on inventorying and monitoring for each significant natural resource (air quality, climate, fire, hydrology, soil, algae and other protists, fungi, lichen, moss, liverwort, vascular plant, invertebrate, insect and arachnid, fish, amphibian, reptile, bird (bald eagle and peregrine falcon), and mammal (beaver and deer) /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/ISLE AU HAUT/SCHOODIC PENINSULA/ISLANDS/ GIS-CATEGORY 3 ; Identifies reports containing GIS usable data
