FIELD WORK: 1993-1995. BIRDS: Field surveys to determine the presence of Bicknell's Thrushes in coastal spruce-fir forests of Maine were conducted. Many areas within Acadia National Park were visited during this survey including points on Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula. 2 Bicknells thrushes were reported (7/1/93) from Western Mountain in 1993. Numerous field checks in 1994 and 1995 did not locate any Bicknells thrushes.
