FIELD WORK: March 17, 1990 and January 24, 1991. Sediment cores were taken at Lake Wood and The Bowl. Samples were processed for pollen and charcoal analysis to determine relative percentages of major pollen types and the corresponding charcoal/pollen ratios. Pollen and charcoal diagrams reveal the fire and vegetation history for the watersheds surrounding Lake Wood and The Bowl.
