FIELD WORK: April-October, 1987. WATER QUALITY: Lists water temperature, water velocity, pH, and specific conductance for a number of ponds and streams. INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Lists 47 species of mayflies found on Mount Desert Island (22 were new species records for the island and 5 were first records for Maine). Duck Brook and Stanley Brook were most diverse in Mayfly fauna.
