WATER QUALITY: Ranks contaminant concentrations in bivalves at 145 Mussel Watch Project sites and in livers from fish at 43 Benthic Surveillance Project sites. Musses Watch Sites are at Sears Island and Pickering Island in Penobscot Bay and Benthic Surveillance sites are in Penobscot Bay and Frenchman Bay. Sears Island was in the upper 10% on national ranking for Mercury (at .27 ppm) while Pickering Island did not have any upper percent rankings. Measured total pesticides, total DDT, total Polychlorinated Biphenyls, total Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Selenium, Silver, Thallium, Tin, and Zinc /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLANDS/Penobscot Bay/Sears Island/Pickering Island/Frenchman Bay
