Stability and change in lichen luxuriance and density on red spruce (Picea rubens Sarg.) in Maine

Stubbs CS, Homola RL, Carlisle J, Marden S. 1990. Stability and change in lichen luxuriance and density on red spruce (Picea rubens Sarg.) in Maine. National Park Service

Lichens: Reassessed lichen health in permanent study quadrats on Roque Island, Isle au Haut, Small Point, and an inland site. Lichen assemblages at Isle au Haut showed a negative change when compared to the 1988 data and 'some of the negative change may be attributed to exposure to air pollutants (i.e. acid deposition and ozone)' /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLE AU HAUT/
