WATER QUALITY: Notes dissolved oxygen and temperature in late August for The Tarn at the following depths: surface, .5, .75, 1.0, and 1.3 meters. Dissolved oxygen ranged from 8.0 at the surface to 2.6 at 1.3 meters. Notes that the pH was 5.0. INVERTEBRATES: Sampled invertebrates with an Eckman dredge, 5 samples in the inlet and outlet, and 10 samples from the lake bottom. Notes the number of crayfish, leeches, flatworms, and roundworms (none identified to species). INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Noted insects from samples taken with an Eckman dredge in the inlet, outlet, and at the lake bottom. Notes the number of craneflies, Midge larvae and pupae, Caddisfly larvae, Dragonfly larvae, beetles, and true bugs /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/The Tarn
