'The purpose of this guide is to document the methods currently used by the ANP Lake Monitoring Program, and to serve as a training manual and reference source for new and existing monitors.' From Introduction, 'This manual is divided into three sections. Section 1 provides a brief description of the monitoring area, some general characteristics of lakes and ponds, and a discussion of water safety. Section 2 explains the techniques used to gather data in the field, and how to collect water samples for further laboratory analysis.
