From Introduction, 'The purpose of this study was to provide recommendations to increase the effectiveness of Acadia National Park's blister rust control program.' Final recommendations include: '1) the blister rust control program at Acadia National Park should definitely be continued. The present policy of working alternate seasons is sufficient to maintain the ribes population at an acceptable level. 2) the proposed control program presented in the appendices of this report should be followed and updated each season. 3) Pruning in selected areas as explained in appendix II should be accepted on a trial basis. 4) The seasonal commencement date of the B.R.C. program should be changed to late April in order to encompass the optimum pruning period.' /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/
