From the introduction: "Results of this study showed that several species were sensitive to ozone (Eckert 1991, Eckert et al. 1992, Eckert et al. 1993, Eckert et al. 1994). Species exhibiting visually-detectable injury at ambient levels of ozone were spreading dogbane (Apocynum androsaemifolium), broadleaf aster (Aster macrophyllus), black cherry (Prunus serotina), quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides), and white ash (Fraxinus americana). Species that showed foliar injury at levels of ozone slightly greater than ambient were flattopped aster (Aster umbellatus), small sundrops (Oenothera perennis), bunchberry (Cornus canadensis), jack pine (Pinus banksiana), and gray birch (Betula populifolia)." /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ACADIA NATIONAL PARK/Sand Beach/
