'The purpose of this soil core sampling and analysis project is to identify heavy metals, hazardous wastes and petroleum products that may be present in subsurface soils near Stanley Brook in the Seal Harbor area.' For a satisfactory evaluation, the quality assurance project plan, in addition to other requirements addressed the five data quality indicators as defined in guidelines issued by the EPA's Quality Assurance Management Staff (QAMS). The five data quality indicators include precision, bias, representativeness, completeness and comparability. Each of the indicators is sensitive to sampling performance.
