From Introduction, 'Acadia National Park has identified long-term monitoring of specific key or indicator species and systems as a goal in protecting park resources.' Compilation of wildlife research recommendations taken from publications on work done at Acadia National Park. The first section lists these by date giving the citation followed by the recommendations. The second section presents the same information as a table and sorts the recommendations according to whether they suggest monitoring on an annual, periodic or long term basis, or whether they recommend further research or management actions.
