FIELD WORK: 1996 and 1997. Results of research on bats in an near Acadia National Park. Captured bats in mist nests and recorded passes and feeding buzzes with bat detectors. Looked at patterns of seasonal use of freshwater ponds and lakes, and non-aquatic habitats. Includes management recommendations. Five species were captured and two others recorded. Most bats catpred and recorded were Myotis lucifugus and Myotis septentrionalis.
