FIELD WORK 1994 Though the report is written by the student, the summary and addendums are provided by Charles Jacobi. 'Goals for this month of data collection were simply to obtain a snapshot picture of winter recreation in the park. Data was not intended to be collected in a rigorous manner for statistical analysis. There was no attempt to estimate use of the park for any given time period, but only to record observations of use. The intent wasw only to scope out what was ossurring, and to provide some numerical and anecdotal inofmration. A work program was prepared by resource management with these tasks: 1) Drive through the park on a systematic a route recording the number of vehicles at parking areas and other observations. 2) Ski tour in the park recording use levels and types. 3) Interview visitors briefly about their use of the park in winter. Attached are the final report by the student and an addendum prepared by resource management after data had been entered in DBASE. The addendum contains a number of tables for which the data was reprganized for analysis.
