From the Introduction: 'This long term forest management plan provides the basic outline for managing the forest resoucres on the Naval Security Group Activity, Winter Harbor, Maine. Forest management is an approved secondary land use management activity by the Department of the Navy. Good forest management protects the real estate investment, conserves natural resources, improves aesthetics and reduces grounds maintenance costs. This plan covers only those activity lands suitable for forest management.'
