FIELD WORK: 2004 A portion from the Executive Summary: "Carriage roads were monitored for crowding in 2004 using established methods. Estimations of carriage road use indicate that the crowding standard was not violated, and that carriage road use levels were similar to but lower than previous years. Five days exceeded 2,000 visitors per day, with the highest at 2,237 on August 17. Nine years of data show no trend of either increasing or decreasing use."
