This document of a series of tables for visitor use data of Acadia National Park. 'Summary of Tables: In this compilation of Public Use Data we summarize data for 2005 and tabulate data for 1990-2005 for easy comparison. This data is stored in Excel spread sheet files, and what follows are copied of annotated worksheets form those files. These worksheets include: 1. A 2005 Public Use Data Summary by month with detailed visitation information for: MDI, Schoodic, IAH, and busses; nonrecreation visits for MDI and Schoodic; commercial bus use and concession bus use (from entrance station data); overnight stays for RVs, tents and groups for BW, SW, and IAH; IAH day use and individual campers; and Island Explorer passengers. 2. Acadia Annual Recreation Visits from 1990-2005 in graphic and numeric formats with percentage change from year to year at the top of the bars in the graph. The largest percent increases and decreases are listed. The mean annual percent change is listed for three five-year time periods. Using 1990 as a baseline, we also show the percent difference from the baseline (1990) of the highest and lowest years, and the percent difference between the highest and lowest years. 3. Acadia Total Overnight Stays from 1990-2005 for all three campgrounds in graphic an numeric format. 4. Acadia Monthly Recreation Visits from 1990-2005 by month with means, maximums, and minimums. These are graphed for each month as well. ' The preface of the document describes the sampling techniques used to collect Park use data.
