From abstract, 'this study, along with the results of the Town's survey regarding what visitors liked and disliked about their visits to the Bar, will help all stakeholders take action to address potential recreational conflicts at this unmanaged resource.' Following from abstract: 'In the summer of 2006, thirty Friends of Acadia volunteers spent fifteen days counting visitors and noting types of visitor use at the sandbar (the Bar) between Bar Harbor and Bar Island.'
