From Objective, 'MDIF&W's objective was to identify areas of management concern in tracking important feeding and roosting areas for migrating shorebirds. Acadia's objective were to conduct the survey at more shoreline sites and more frequently on the MDI area islands than planned by MDIF&W. The park effort would allow for a more complete survey of historic shorebird areas in which the importance of these areas could be evaluated in comparison to other shorebird migration areas in Hancock and Washington counties.
