Assessment of Spring Migration of Anadromous Brook Trout in Acadia National Park

Sigourney D, Krueger S, Lobozzo P, Connery B. 2007. Assessment of Spring Migration of Anadromous Brook Trout in Acadia National Park. National Park Service

FIELD WORK: 2007. A total of 119 brook trout were captured and tagged during the course of the study. Report summarizes recaptures and movements. Research Recommendations: Future work on brook trout may consider excluding Little Harbor Brook and Jordan Stream and focus sampling efforts on Stanley Brook and Hunters Brook; install nets at an earlier date, removal of nets in mid-June, and reinstalling nets during fall. Diet should be investigated and coupled with isotope analysis; include diving or snorkeling surveys should be added. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Jordan Stream/Stanley Brook/Hunters Brook/Little Harbor Brook/
