'Survey ash trees in Acadia National Park for signs of emerald ash borer, Agrilus planipennis.' Ash trees in ANP displayed no signs of Emerald Ash Borer infestation. Sever trees with branch dieback were located, but dieback was limited and the ramaining crown was in good condition. Only 1 dead ash tree was surveyed and no signs of infestation by insects was noted. Research recommendations: Annual emeral ash borer surveys should continue as long as populations are present in North America. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/
