'...As the Air Tour Management Act of 2000 calls for the prevention of any significant adverse impacts due to commercial air tours, the primary area of concern is noise impacts. Ambient sound level measurements are required to establish a baseline from which noise impacts can be assessed. This document summarized the noise measurements study undertaken in August 2005 to provide stat for the baseline ambient noise in Acadia National Park (Acadia). The baseline ambient data will be used to establish a foundation from which potential impacts can be assessed....' Ambient sound levels were recorded from various locations within the park. Site selection was from diverse vegetation covers and/or habitat types and localities.
