FIELD WORK: May-August 1977. REPTILES: Common Garter Snakes were found on Little Duck Island. AMPHIBIANS: Red-backed Salamanders were found on Little Duck Island. BIRDS: Lists species seen during the field season. Also gives census estimates for Herring Gulls, Great Black-backed Gulls, Black Guillemots, Common Eiders, Double-crested Cormorants, and Leach's Storm Petrels. MAMMALS: Notes that 'a vole population is probable'. Harbor and Grey seals were observed. FLORA - VASCULAR: Lists 43 herbaceous species, 4 fern species, 10 shrub species, and 10 tree species present on the island.
