WATER QUALITY: Lists water temperature, water velocity, pH, and specific conductance for a number of Mount Desert Island ponds and streams. INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Lists 47 species of Mayflies found on Mount Desert Island (22 were new species records for the island and 5 were first records for Maine). Duck Brook and Stanley Brook were most diverse in Mayfly fauna. No Mayflies were noted from Isle au Haut.
