Report contains an historical survey of the Egg Rock Lighthouse and summarized historical biological work on the island. Lists seabirds and numbers that historically nested on the island: Laughing gulls, common terns, arctic terns, great black-backed gulls, herring gulls, common eider, and roseate terns. On May 21, 1997, the island was mapped with a GPS unit. On May 27, 1996, the breeding seabirds on the island was quantified. Report contains a short list of plant species collected and identified. Appendix 1 contains photocopies of land titles for the sales of Egg Rock in both 1866 and 1874. Appendix 2 contains appropriations for the construction of Egg Rock Lighthouse station. Appendix 3 contains information regarding cannons on Egg Rock and their proposed relocation. Appendix 4 contains information regarding the 1930 real estate survey. Appendix 5 contains the 1984 USCG Project report. Appendix 6 contains the 1992 USCG Invoice and description of work. Appendix 7 contains the underwater cable diagram and repair work.
