Kidder K. Intertidal Distributions and possible interactions among three species of Periwinkle (Littorina spp.) in Maine.. College of the Atlantic

'This study confirms and extends previous data on the distribution of introduced and native littorinid snails in the New England rocky intertidal. In addition, the feasibility of local removal experiments was tested, and a start was made to begin research on interactions between the three species of periwinkle in New England.' Sampling sites were said to be located at the College of the Atlantic Beech, Indain Point, Otter Cliffs, and Great Head. This report decribes background information on the different interactions between the three species of snails and diiferences in these interactions according to size variation. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/College of Atlantic/ Indian Point/Otter Cliffs/Great Head/
