FIELD WORK: January 30-February 1, May 23-25, 1939. Lists a number of plant species and states amount of browsing pressure, and effects of browsing on each species. States that browse conditions are verging on a critical state on the wintering areas and recommends a check of the population and a thorough census. May 1939 observations revealed heavy browsing at Richardson Brook and Aunt Betty's Pond, with cedar, aspen and willow being severely browsed.
