Exposed Grey birch, White birch and Big leaf aster to controlled levels of ozone and assessed effects on foliage, photosynthesis and development. While results are preliminary, they may indicate a decrease in photosynthesis with increased levels of ozone. Symptoms of ozone injury appeared first on Grey birch and asters. Bronzing was observed on birch indicating premature senescence.
