A description of macroalgal coverage of tidepools. FIELD WORK: 15 July - 15 August, 1990. FLORA - ALGAE: Four tide pools at Otter Point and 6 at Seawall were studied for distribution of macroalgae in relation to wave exposure, gradient of the shoreline, and presence of herbivores. Noted 12 genera of algae but none identified to species. Notes average seawater temperature in the tide pools /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Otter Point/Seawall/
