Contains yearly updates (1947-53) on the annual winter browse surveys (no raw data), trapping activities, returns on trapped deer, general observations, and deer distribution. Also includes winter yarding information, exclosures were also visited and vegetation growth reported on. The 1950 report indicates that two of the four exclosures, one at Sargent Mountain the other China Hill, burned in the 1947 fire. 1952 and 1953 browse surveys reported that population appeared stable, and there was no overbrowsing anywhere on Mount Desert Island.
