'Acadia National Park and its bordering environs supports a wealth of birdlife unequaled in the entire State of Maine and by few other localities in all of New England.'Roughly three quarters of all the birds recorded in the State occur or have occurred in this park area. a total of 312 species and subjects out of an approximate total of 400 forms for the state.
