A description of plants in Acadia National Park. FLORA - VASCULAR: This project is part of the Partners for Plants program where volunteers assist with field work. The program performance is evaluated in the report. Beach-head iris (Iris setosa var. canadensis; a Maine plant of 'Special Concern') was censused along belt transects along the western edge of Little Moose Island. Results indicate a significant population with successful recruitment of seedlings. Bristly clubmoss (Lycopodium selago; a Maine plant of 'Special Concern') was censused using belt transects and quadrats on the north ridge of Sargent Mountain. The population was thought to be secure. Thirty plants of Strict reedgrass (Calamagrostis stricta; a Maine 'Threatened' plant) were reintroduced to Pemetic Mountain. A reintroduction plan for this species is included as an appendix.
