Water chemistry of 18 lakes and 23 streams were studied. Presents mean baseflow alkalinity, calcite saturation indices, calcium concentrations, and pH and alkalinity levels for each site, and mean levels for lakes, streams and brooks. Notes that pH of precipitation at Acadia National Park has averaged 4.4 since 1980, and that all sites except Sargent Mountain Pond (4.6) have mean non-spring pHs of greater than or equal to 6.1.
