FIELD WORK: Winter 1989-90. BIRDS: Summarizes the numbers of Harlequin Ducks (and other seabird species) observed during surveys of the south shore of Isle au Haut and on islands and ledges to the east. Roughly 400 Harlequins were found to winter in the study area.
