FIELD WORK: April-August 1978. FLORA - VASCULAR: Contains a list of herbs, ferns, shrubs, and trees identified on Little Duck Island during summer 1978. Reptiles and AMPHIBIANS: Red-backed Salamanders and Garter Snakes were noted (see Lesser, 1977). BIRDS: Lists species seen during the field season. Also gives estimates for nesting Leach's Storm Petrels (3750-4750 nests), Black-backed Gulls (300-350 nests), Common Eiders (375-475 nests), Herring Gulls (520-570 nests), Black Guillemots (325-425 nests), and Double-crested Cormorants (420-470 nests) /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLANDS/Little Duck Island GIS-CATEGORY 2 ; Birds: Contains maps showing distribution of breeding seabird territories for Little Duck Island
