FIELD WORK: August 2, 1972. MAMMALS - DEER: Gives height, and percent composition of 9 species of trees and shrubs within and outside of the exclosure at Long Pond on Isle au Haut. Also includes the following deer data for 1958-66: a) kill data by year and age class -- 546 total killed; b) reconstructed population for 1958-66, plus projected population for ages 1.5-5.5 in 1966; c) mortality rates by year and age class, using dynamic reconstruction method; d) reproductive rates by year using dynamic reconstructive method; e) mortality rates as determined by mortality-based, time specific life table /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLE AU HAUT/Long Pond
