FIELD WORK: 28 April 1990. BIRDS: Assesses the habitat suitability of Acadia National Park for Spruce Grouse. Reviews literature and contains a summary of Spruce Grouse sightings. Big Heath is the only site where Spruce Grouse sightings have occurred consistently. There were 3 sightings of a hen with a brood on Schoodic Point in 1989 (same bird?).
