FIELD WORK: 27 March, 3 April, 7 April, 17 April 1984. INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Lists insects collected and identified at seven locations on Mount Desert Island and compares them with Proctor's 1946 study. He notes that ponds above Breakneck ponds (closer to Witch Hole Pond) were the most prolific for insect populations of the areas he surveyed.
