'Nutrient inputs from freshwater brooks and the ocean to the Bass Harbor Marsh estuary were sampled on seven surveys during the April to November growing season of aquatic vegetation in the estuary.' Results of a study of nutrients (Nitrogen and Phosphorus) coming into Bass Harbor Marsh estuary (Acadia National Park) from freshwater brooks and from the ocean. Also looked at the distribution of submerged aquatic vegetation (Potamogeton beds, Ruppia maritima and algal mats), and potential correlation to differing nutrient levels. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Bass Harbor Marsh estuary/
