'The hypothesis was defined as: It is possible to model the population of the sea-run brook trout in Stanley Brook based on count data and distance from the sea.' Summarizies Brook Trout data for Stanley Brook and models sea-run brook trout using distance upstream as an independent variable. Includes a data table of counts of total, mature, and immature brook trout in each of the 50 sections of Stanley Brook. 'Unfortunately, modeling the population of the Stanley Brook sea-run brook trout was notpossible using only distance upstream as an independent variable. The hypothesis of thisproject must be rejected. For both the mature count, in which a trend was detected, andthe immature count, in which there was no trend, the model results showed that theindependent variable (Y max or distance upstream) was not significant and the rho valuesindicated that the model fits were not good.' /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Stanley Brook/
